Hello! My name is Carol and I will be your host. Carol's Candy Corner has been operating as a family owned company in New York for many years. We continue this fine honored tradition by offering high quality, upscale gourmet candy, chocolates and gifts including Old Fashioned Candy, Licorice, Novelty Candies, Gourmet Chocolates and Truffles, Candy Gift Baskets, and Holiday Specialty Items at retail prices.
Carol's Candy Corner goal is to provide our online customers with a shopping experience that resembles services, quantities and pricing similar to traditional confectionery store.
As part of this service, we like to add personal touches to everything we do. All packaging is done with great care and we like to go extra mile to ensure your order arrives on time and in the right location. Therefore, we may contact you to validate certain information, or ensure we have the correct order information, or to provide an update. Carol's Candy Corner accept following methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Paypal. Orders are processed using Yahoo's Store Secure Ordering System and Checkout.
Customer's credit card is charged when we ship your order unless payment was made using Paypal which is immediate .
All prices are listed in US Dollars, unless otherwise indicated.
Orders are not binding until payment has been accepted and verified.
We do not have a minimum order amount.
ORDER PLACEMENT: When Customer places an order, using credit card: VISA, MasterCard, Discover or Amex, an authorization is given for the order amount plus estimated shipping and processing fees. When Customer's order is shipped, Credit Card is charged a final dollar amount based on merchandise total plus actual shipping costs. These costs may be higher or lower than your initial order receipt depending on package weight, box dimensions, destination and shipping costs charged by carrier. Thus, your credit card is authorized for an amount (10%) higher than merchandise bought but it is not charged to your credit card until we have finalized and shipped your order.
Orders are usually processed and shipped within 24 - 48 hours (see Shipping and Order Processing for further information). Any additional funds authorized over final merchandise total plus actual shipping costs is released by your credit card company within 2 - 3 days.
Paypal Customers invoice and shipping costs are final.
ORDER ERRORS:Incorrect Bill-To and/or Ship-To Information will delay processing of your order. Please ensure this information is correct to prevent delays and any handling charges. See Order Information below.
BULK MERCHANDISE: Carol's Candy Corner bulk merchandise is sold in pounds. The number of pieces stated per pound is an estimate and it does not mean you will receive exact number of pieces stated. We always ensure you receive proper poundage amount. Carol's Candy Corner reserves the right to make any changes stated to number of pieces per pound based on any typographical errors or changes in weight and dimension of product.
Bulk merchandise is shipped in bags and more than one pound ordered may be combined into one or more bags.
GIFT BASKETS: Carol's Candy Corner Gift Baskets are made per order to ensure freshness. If you would like a customized basket or changes to ones on our web-pages, please give us a call and we will be pleased to accommodate, if possible.
Gift baskets will be shipped in "2 to 3 Business Days" as stated on the web page because we need additional time to create. If you need it sooner, please state the date required in the "Comments Section" at check out and we will try to accommodate.

GIFT MESSAGES/CARDS: Gift Cards are offered as a courtesy to our customers and at no cost. All gift card messages are handwritten to give them a personal touch and no offensive or foul language will be included on any card. If offensive language is stated in a gift message, Carol's Candy Corner reserves the right to change message, eliminating foul language, or we may decide not to include Gift Card. Carol's Candy Corner may make these alterations without consent of the customer.
SPECIAL ORDERS All special orders require a nonrefundable 50% deposit at time of order placement and balance due at time of shipment. Special Orders are not refundable or returnable.
ORDER INFORMATION: We do not ship orders unless we receive proper Bill-To information matches Customers Credit Card on file with their bank and/or credit card company.
If Bill-To information does not match credit card used, your order will be placed on-hold, taken out of order processing flow and subject to handling charges.
We will contact you by email and/or telephone to obtain correct billing information. Customers have 48 hours to respond. If we do not hear back within 48 hour period, your order will be cancelled.
When corrected billing information is received, it will be validated with credit card company to obtain approval. If approval granted, order will be scheduled for processing. Unfortunately, if billing information continues to be incorrect, order is subject to cancellation.
By law we are required to collect NY State Sales Tax on goods shipped within New York. The current rate is 8.8% on average. Tax is computed prior to final processing and shipping of your order. An initial tax amount may appear on your order confirmation but the final sales tax amount will be computed once your order has been processed and shipped.
SHIPPING AND PROCESSING:
We ship orders Monday - Friday within 24 - 48 hours of order receipt except during warm weather months of June 1st to September 30Th.
Orders are picked up at end of each business day on day of placement and will be shipped next business day, Monday - Friday.
Any orders received on Friday will be shipped next business day.
If you require same day processing for your order, please contact Customer Service prior to 2:00PM ET and we will attempt to accommodate.
We do not ship on weekends or major US holidays.
All delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed.
We recommend recipient be physically at home on day of delivery or have package(s) sent to a location where recipient will be able to accept it.
We are not responsible for packages once they have left our facility. The Shipping Carrier is responsible for your package.
We are not responsible for where the carriers leaves your package.
We will not refund nor replace any missing or stolen packages. Please contact Shipping Carrier for package location and/or to initiate a Package Trace.
Packages shipped to another address other than address of record will require a signature.
During the Warm Months (June 1st to September 30Th), we ship orders Monday - Thursday depending on destination and delivery timetable to prevent packages from sitting in shipping carriers warehouses over the weekend without air conditioning.
Orders shipped using UPS, US Postal Services, and FedEx. Carol's Candy Corner ships orders based on availability of carriers, quickest shipping route, and least cost expense to the customer.
Customer's are responsible for selecting shipping method but we reserve the right to make changes based on quickest shipping route.
Carol's Candy Corner is not liable nor responsible for shipping carrier's policies, potential routing delays, weather conditions, shipping fees, or redirecting of packages due to incorrect delivery address. All charges levied by UPS / FedEx for Address Correction Services, Forwarding Services, will be in turn, charged to customer.
Packages refused and/or returned for any reason will be credited for product only. No credit will be given for shipping costs. In addition, the customer is liable and will be charged for any items damaged and any fees levied by UPS / FedEx for returned or refused packages.
The customer pays shipping charges based on prices set by Shipping Carries(UPS, US Postal Services, FedEx). Your shipping charges may be adjusted depending on actual cost of shipping once your order has been processed.
All shipping costs are final and no refunds or adjustments for any reason will be granted once your order has shipped.
During Warm Weather Periods, if you prefer UPS, and have purchased chocolate, please select Next Day Air, Next Day Air Saver, or Second Day Air. This will ensure your chocolate items arrive fresh.
If your merchandise is being shipped to a Military Base (APO), your order will be shipped via US Postal Services. Carol's Candy Corner is not responsible nor liable for any redirecting of packages by the military.
We ship within the United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Canada only.UNITED PARCEL SERVICES:
Selection of UPS will enable you to choose UPS Ground, UPS Second Day Delivery, UPS Third Day Select, or Next Day Air, Next Day Air Saver
. UPS ships only on business days (Monday - Friday) unless you have specified Next Day Air "Saturday Delivery" and extra charges will apply. The use of UPS requires a street address, they do not deliver to a P.O. Box or an APO address.
UPS Shipping is based on merchandise weight, box dimensions and regional zones which is calculated in real-time by UPS at checkout.STANDARD SHIPPING:
Selection Standard Shipping (Based on US Postal Services Priority Mail Rates) will take up to 2 to 4 days for delivery except Sunday.Express Shipping:
Selection Express Shipping (Based on US Postal Services Express Mail Rates) will generally take up to 1 to 2 days for delivery in most areas where service is available. If you specified Sunday delivery, additional charges will apply. Express Shipping packages usually arrive before 3:00 PM to most areas, Monday - Friday.
At the time of checkout, we charge a flat fee for Standard Shipping and Express Shipping as stated in the following table and adjust shipping charges to actual cost of shipping once we finalize, process, and ship your package.

Candy and chocolates do not travel well during the summer months or when the weather is warm in "From and/or Ship To" destination. We recommend the purchase of an Iced Gel Packs or two for $1.95 (16 Oz- equivalent to 2 smaller packs) or $1.25 (8 Oz) each to keep your order cool. It is up to customer to determine how many iced gel packs they will need based on amount of chocolate and temperature. If you over or under order on Iced Gel Packs, we will make appropriate adjusts depending on size of the order.
Iced Gel Packs will only be included if purchased by the Customer. If no ice pack is purchased and candy arrives at destination in less than desirable condition, no refunds, exchanges, or replacements will be given.INTERNATIONAL IMPORT DUTY FEES:
When shipping to an international country, import or duty fees are charged by receiving country. The receipent of package is responsible for paying these import fees. Carol's Candy Corner has no prior knowledge nor are we responsible or liable for payment of import duty fees.ORDER CANCELLATIONS:
If for any reason you need to cancel your order, it must be made within 24 hours of submission. Please contact us via e-mail to confirm cancellation. Once your order has been processed and shipped, it is not possible to retrieve package or to cancel the order.RETURNS AND REFUNDS:
Returns must be made within 10 days of purchase.
Returns will only be accepted when accompanied by a Return Authorization (RA) number issued by Carol's Candy Corner Customer Service.
Returns are subject to a restocking fee of 20% or $5.00, whichever is greater. Refunds are given on returning product only and does not include originating shipping costs.
Customer is responsible for cost of returning item which is not refundable.
Seasonal, Special Order, or Sale merchandise will not be accepted.
Returns must be received within 10 business days of RA Number issuance. Carol's Candy Corner is not responsible for merchandise returned without prior approval.
If your return is melted candy, we are not responsible or liable and no refund, exchange or replacement will be given.DAMAGES:
We are very careful about the packaging and handling of your order. Nevertheless, on occasion, damages to the packaging may have occurred and in these circumstances you will need to report damages within 24 - 48 hours of package receipt to Carol's Candy Corner Customer Service. Damages must be reported within this time frame, if you report damages beyond this time frame, we are no longer liable and no further action will be taken. All original shipping cartons, packaging and damaged merchandise must be retained.
If the damage is melted candy and/or chocolates we are not responsible nor liable and no refund, exchange, or replacement will be given.UPS or FedEx Shipments:
Customer's must report damages to carriers immediately by contacting UPS at 1-800-742-5877 (1-800-Pick UPS) or FedEx at 1-800-463-3339 and establish a claim. The carrier will instruct you on next steps regarding possible pick up, review and assessment of the damages. UPS or FedEx will report their findings to us.US Postal Services Shipments:
Customer's must take the entire package with its original packing material and contents of the box to their local Post Office within 5 business days. The Customer will need to file a claim at their local Post Office and turn over the box and contents with Claim Form to Postal Clerk. A USPS Postal Inspector will examine box, contents, and packaging to assess damage and will notify us.
After Customer has submitted their claim to respective shipping carrier, UPS, Fedex, or USPS will contact us for final completion of any paper work, if appropriate. Shipping Carriers usually takes 5 - 15 business days to make an assessment and decision on claim submitted. When and if customers claim is approved, and refund from carrier received, we will then credit customers credit card or issue company check for amount we receive minus any fees.Replacement Orders / Shipments:
Customers awaiting Carrier's decision on their claim may in the meantime, request a replacement of damaged goods. Customer's verbal or written requests authorizes Carol's Candy Corner to re-charge customers credit card for replacement order. All Replacement Orders will be shipped with Signature Required at delivery. When and if customer's claim is approved, and refund from Shipping Carrier received, we will then credit customers credit card based on refund amount received minus any fees. If the customers claim has been denied, no further action will be taken.DISCLAIMERSShipping Carrier Delivery of Packages:

If candy and/or chocolates melt, we are not responsible and no refunds, exchanges, or replacements will be given. This will prevent the candy and/or chocolate from sitting in open during warm weather.Product Performance
If items fail to match product specifications as warranted, please contact the manufacturer. All product descriptions, weight, and dimensions are based on manufacturers specifications. We do not guarantee any product's fitness for intended use or are we liable for any differences between manufacturers specifications and product received. Any discrepancies or dissatisfaction are to be direct to the manufacturer. Allergies:
on occasion, people may have allergic reactions to certain food products. We recommend that you read the product descriptions carefully since we are not responsible for your allergies.Typographical Errors:
If there are any typographical errors, we apologize but these mistakes are not intentional. Carol's Candy Corner reserves the right to make corrections to orders based on these typographical errors and are not liable for any discrepancies.
